Big Sky adventure loop

Hey guys, I downloaded this route and checked it out. I like it! I suspect you're planning your fall run to the west, and if that's the case be sure to stay informed on the fires because it's in full swing now. Use this link and you'll see what I'm referring to.

Right now we're smoked out in Bend. Thursday evening a fire got started in a homeless camp (25 miles north of Bend). Friday morning it was 3,000 acres. This morning it's 9,000 acres and it's still ripping. I'm stuck in the house with an air conditioner, and I want out!

Looking at that fire on “Watch Duty” app. Now over 23,000 acres with 13% containment.

Joe! Thanks for the recommendations, we’re a week out from another trip out west and still haven’t nailed down a route yet! We were in the big horns last week for a quick out and back trip without the trailer and really liked Wyoming. I’ll keep you posted!

OTG has not published any routes in Wyoming yet, but RideBDR does have a route for adventure bikes. You can download it free from their site. You might be able to use parts of it to create a game plan of your liking. Since bikes have limited storage capacity, they are focused on the need for frequent stops for fuel & food, which makes me feel more comfortable traveling their routes. Their BDR's have a huge following with the motorcycle crowd, so they maintain a Facebook page for each route with up to date conditions, something you won't find with OTG's offerings. I joined the Facebook page for the IdahoBDR, and it was extremely useful pre-departure. They were a friendly crowd as well, I spoke to many of them along the route.
