Looking for information on Six Rivers BCT alternative route.

Has anyone run the Six Rivers alternative route North of HWY 36?
We're planning a trip in September to start in Eureka and follow the alt route down to 36 where we'll jump on the Shasta-Trinity BDT.

Any tips, hints, or warnings welcome.

Edit: I should add it is a pair of Jeeps making the trip.

Hey @koc77

You just reminded me, I need to take the alternative dirt option down. We had a member attempt it about a month ago, and it does not connect back with the main route to the north-- I believe there is a gate somewhere along the way.
