Hi, my name is Don. I live near Iowa City, IA. I retired in 2015 and since that time I've been traveling extensively in the U.S. and Canada. For years, I traveled in a RAM 2500 diesel pickup towing a Kimberley T3 from Australia. This year, I had Dicot Designs build a custom Sprinter van (2500 170 wheelbase) that I named "Mesa".

Grizzy, you may remember me from doing the Black Rock trip last year - Tom and Yuki in the FourWheel Camper. I am thinking about doing the Saint George Super G route in the later part of May. I believe you may have done it last year in the fall. At ay rate, Do you have any recommendations regarding that trail in late May? Would you be interested in going?

Hi Tom, I think the Super G is a great introduction to this area. The only recommendation I would make is to camp at Toquerville Falls. I would love to join you, but I'm not sure if my schedule will allow for me to travel during that time. Are you traveling with a group? If I think of any other recommendations I'll let you know. In the meantime keep me posted.
Ben suggested I contact you regarding the St. George Super G trail. I am looking to possibly doing it in the later part of May. He said that you did it last year but he believed that your group were not able to, or for what ever reason did not, finish it. Do you have any recommendations regarding the route? Did you like it? Any feed back to give? What time of year did you do it?

Hi There…I really need to check in more often…. And yes, the super G Utah trails were a mess. To put it plainly, encroachment of civilization. We entered a trail and ended up needing help from the construction crew to get out and we were lucky OnX guide was part of our group for rest of the trip.
I just purchased a 2025 Storyteller Overland Mode Dark OG, $200k. Not a 4x4 off-road jeep but a pretty good off-grid off-road AWD and all 4 season vehicle. STO members report taking this vehicle to -20 degrees with no problems.
I'm hoping to monitor this web site and group for excellent easy routes in southern California. I'm in Seal Beach, CA.
Obviously. if OTG could incorporate off-grid RVs that would be great.
Hey Rock Hopper nice to meet you yesterday. I have not spent much time on this forum so just checking it out.
