Hello all!
Anyone here have any experience with gear from BougeRV (https://www.bougerv.com/)? I’ve heard the gear is quality, but when I look at their bundles I get the “too good to be true” vibes. Thanks!

Not familiar with them... but like most things in life, you get what you pay for. And looking at these pricing points, and really no specifics on what materials are used (couldn't find any info about a compressor for the fridge), I wouldn't expect these to perform and hold up over the long haul compared to reputable brands at a higher price point. If you're looking for a fridge that should last 5+ years, try Dometic, ARB, Engel, National Luna.

Thank you for your effort and reply! I kind of had an unsettled feeling about them. I’ll check out your recommendations!

Check out Iceco fridges, they are some of the top fridges in the market.

what has worked for me & the wife for close to 10 years is Engel, we have MR040, I love this fridge, super reliable, extremely low consumption, it doesn't shut off @ camber slopes. Plus Engel been manufacturing portable fridges for well over 50 years.
Engels a bit pricy, buy once cry once.

Totally agree on buy once cry one. If you plan on doing this for many years to come, I'd highly recommend spending the extra coin on a solid and reliable fridge. Some of the best in the biz include Dometic, Engel, Isotherm, and National Luna.

Expedition Portal did an interesting review with a lot of data few years back. Sadly, it doesn't include the reliability factor, which is probably one of the most important things given the abuse we subject these things to!

Interesting what they said about Dometic.......... "packs class-leading overall performance, along with light weight and the best display of the test." We have friends of ours their CF has been in for repairs numerous times for temperature fluctuations, not that old either. Both of them, they ended up selling both & getting a Engel MR series like we have. Ours keep the temp's on point @ "our preferred setting" 40 degrees same setting as our home refrigerator. Interesting what they say about Engel.

Dometic is probably the most widely bought/used brand in the off roading world. I have heard similar problems, just like you hear issues with Toyotas, but I honestly think it's mostly likely a numbers game. With so many units out there, a few are bound to have issues. They do use the same german made compressors that most of the top brands use, which us typically the source of the problem. National Luna has also used Danfoss in the past, but now they're using an off road specific compressor with an 8 year warranty

that Danfoss German compressor is a good compressor. What I do not like about the MR040 series Engel fridge is the rubber bumpers\feet they will come out of the slots from time to time. I do find that some products are over-rated for what they are........I like Darche products & have their shower ensuite mounted on Kimberley2Cape shower ensuite mount
I love this mount for the fact I can set up a shower\toilet room in minutes "away" from my camper trailer @ any position. IMO it was well worth the cost of it & the shipping was only 20.00 international, another product I like & purchased manufactured in Australia is OnTap Shower System, I can not tell you how many shower systems the wife & I have tried, this one has worked every time flawlessly.
Toilet is Ironman 4x4 folding Bush Toilet & cat litter. This 3 day trip to the lake was just sit around & relax @ Army Corps of Engineers Campground in Higden Arkansas.
