Death Valley scouting - November

Hey folks,

One of our members @royhgerm-4006 is planning to lead a group to Death Valley around March of next year. He's planning to do a dry run of the route in November, and would be open to a couple of folks joining him. Feel free to reply here, and I'm sure Roy will chime in

As far as I've been told, some of the places Roy plans to visit are:

• Alabama Hills
• Cerro Gordo Ghost town
• Lee Flat Joshua Tree Forest
• Lippencott Pass
• Racetrack Playa
• Ubehebe Crater (maybe?)
• Eureka Dunes (maybe?)

Hi, Roy - My wife and I are interested in tagging along on your Death Valley scouting trip. We’re well seasoned overlanders…both by age and experience! We drive a well built diesel Jeep and can do most any trail, although I keep it sensible on the big obstacles. If you let me know the dates and details, I’m sure we can make it happen. Thanks

I was looking to scout that same area. My plan was to leave SF East Bay the evening of Friday 11/22/24 and return on Wednesday 11/27/24. Back in time for Thanksgiving. Let me know if your dates line up. Gladiator Mojave w/ GoFast Camper.

I'm interested in that trip. I have been to all those places except Cerro Gordo. That route sounds like a good one. It all depends on the dates for me.

All depends on if the dates line up. But I and possible wife would be interested in going. Diesel Gladiator with OVRLND camper. Sounds like a few Gladiators might be going.

Hi Guys-
I'm back!! I just returned from a week in the Redwoods with friends and family, and had a great time. Needless to say, communication was an issue. Regarding the Death Valley scouting trip, I have selected the dates of October 24th through the 28th, instead of November, sorry about the change. The main trip tentative dates as of now are March 26th through April 1st, 2025, subject to change. Thank you for your responses so far, it is appreciated. I hope these dates will work with your schedules. Please let me know what you think.

Unfortunately I have an appointment on Oct 24 in San Diego. I was hoping for a Nov trip so keep me in the loop if the dates move, even just slightly so I can do the recon. Thanks, Scott
