Looking for collaborators: Lost Coast 4x4 Trail / Trail Run / dates tbd

We have multiple folks who've expressed interest in leading a group along the Lost Coast. We recommend spending 3 full days driving this trail. Mendocino County typically opens up Usal Road (from Usal beach to 4 corners) by Memorial Day and closes it in mid-fall, usually in late October to early November. If you plan at staying at Usal Beach, we recommend staying on a Thursday as opposed to Friday or Saturday is recommended, as it can get busy. If you're interested in collaborating with a fellow group member, please reply below with your availability, and any other info you'd like to provide.

If that's the only time that works for your schedule, I understand. But I would try to visit during a non-holiday weekend. Usal Beach is likely to be packed with lots of folks partying that weekend. In fact, I always recommend folks try to avoid Fri + Sat during the summer if they can, as it can get a bit crazy/noisy out there.

On a side note, I've thought about possibly creating a member led event. Essentially, an event is created with an itinerary, gpx file, etc, but it's up to the folks who attend to lead the event on their own. Would you be interested in something like that?

Ben, or anyone else. I'd be up for doing this route early October. I can lead or be tail. If you want to offer it up I'm available either 9/30- 10/4 or 10/14-10/18. Run it in either direction is fine with me.

We are expecting it to be busy given the holiday weekend. We were just thinking we'd make the best use of the long weekend possible.
