Pets
We are no longer allowing dogs on our trips.

Gear & Fuel
Bring appropriate hiking/outdoor gear. Daytime temps may range anywhere from the mid 50s along the coast, to 90s inland. Night time lows are likely be in the 40s-50s. We recommend bringing a good pair of hiking shoes, as we'll be doing some shorter hikes along the way.

We'll have a few opportunities to refuel along the way, but I always recommend carrying an extra 5 gallons just in case.

Please print a copy of pertinent medical info and emergency contact info (at least two persons) on a card/piece of paper, and have this attached to your visor.

Hi @pradsliff

You can find all OTG events on our events page. Unfortunately, this event is full but you're welcome to sign up for one of the waiting list spots. Most of our events are free, but we do occasionally charge a meager fee for some of our BaseCamp events.

Hopefully you'll have some cooler weather, I just stopped by AW Way Park the other day and it was a little too warm to stay.

@OTG Ben - Just wanted to make sure you got my response on Monday that my petsitting fell through. Didn't want someone on the waitlist to miss the chance! Going to try and make the basecamp next month though

GPX file has been posted 🙌
Sorry, Ben, being new to OTG, I don’t know where to find this. It might be because since I came in as a waitlist person, my account is not showing as an official ticket. When I go to the details page, I don’t see the GPX tracks. Please guide me, oh great one.

Hi Ben! Looking forward to the trip. Thanks for putting this on and all the details. We're new to dispersed camping and CA so we greatly appreciate your insight! Anything else you recommend we bring along?

Hey there,

I'm including a prep list we've sent out for past tours. By no means should you feel obligated to order a bunch of stuff on Amazon or head to the local sports store to pick up tons of gear. The big ones are appropriate clothing, footwear, sunscreen, food, water, and trash bags. As far as dispersed camping goes, we'll be using wag bags for solid human waste as we'll be in higher traffic areas where it's inappropriate to dig cat holes. We should have extra wag bags on hand.

Pack list is attached.
