Hi everyone! I am Josh, currently reside down in San Diego, two toddlers and myself have been on numerous trips since last November. We're a dual military family and wife is currently deployed so once she's back later in the year we can all finally start going together! Slowly building a tundra out to what we need, but what we've found is what we need is usually just us lol
Looking forward to getting out on one of your upcoming trips!!!;

Let's see it! The Olympics are definitely on my short list of places I need to visit, especially since both my wife and I have family in the Seattle and Bellingham areas.

Howdy OTG family!
I’m Will from San Diego, Ca.
Thrilled to be a part of an awesome group of like minded adventure seeking folks.
It’s been a whole lot of fun building and tweaking my 4Runner to be mostly what I need and all that I definitely want in an overland rig. All that’s needed, are places to visit and experiences to have. Looking forward to joining the upcoming Lost Coast Tour for a second time with OTG and excited to meet some new friends.
See you on the trails ✌🏽

Hi everyone. I’m Mike Lehr, and I live in Manteca CA with my wife and dog. I recently sold my 2017 Nissan Frontier and purchased a 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD OR. I've been enjoying spradic traveling off-road and cowboy camping trips with friends over the last several years, but I'm looking forward spending more time in the backcountry with my imminent retirement. I've been on trips in the eastern Sierra Nevada, Death Valley environs, Nevada, and most recently the Mojave Desert. I look forward to exploring new areas and meeting fellow overlanders.

Hello Everyone,

It's been over a decade since I've been off road. I grew up off roading with my father in southern California. My fiance and I just purchased a new and highly capable 4 wheel drive vehicle and are excited to take our first overland trip.

  • My fiancé and I are based just north of San Diego county.
  • 2024 Ineos Grenadier Trialmaster, 1991 Jeep Wrangler.
  • It's been a long time, I used to visit Glamis and Dumont dunes, but that was long ago.
  • We are planning to do the Lost Coast route over labor day weekend.

Only one photo of the Grenadier :(
I've been seeing more of these, but only a few here and there. How do you like it so far?

Good day!
I'm Dan. I live in central Minnesota. I have a 2017 Rubicon that I bought used this spring. I call it the Easy Street Jeep. I am a videographer in retirement, and my little business is Easy Street Productions. There is an Easy Street (it's a dead end!), and I lived there when I started my business.
Minnesota is nice, but I want to explore the West. That means most adventures start with a highway journey of at least a thousand miles.
I want to explore challenging but not crazy trails. I want to connect with moderate folks who want to explore moderate to challenging trails at a moderate pace.

Hey @Dan Hegstad

Welcome to OTG! We've got a lot of folks like you looking to hit the trails with other members. I'm in the process of trying to get more member-led trips on our event calendar. If it's something you'd ever be interested, don't hesitate in reaching out! As of right now, most of the stuff is based out West, given that's our home stomping grounds.

We love it. We're finding it very comfortable and very capable. Definitely worth consideration compared to its competitors.

I do have a question, I've noticed the plans and pricing page. Does joining grant addition information on routes that are visible? Or does it only give access to additional trails? We want to start with The Lost Coast. I'm curious if there's additional information available with the plan.

You'll get access to all of the GPX files, unless you like spending hours reverse engineering what's presentdd in the route guide ;)
I've also been updating all of the GPX files, particularly the discovery points to include details/notes, which allows our users to effectively get information on a particular location when an internet location is available.

I’d much rather take advantage to all the work you put into your guides. I just wanted to confirm there’s additional information available for the trip I want to take. Sounds like it’s worth the membership. I’ll be sure to sign up. Thank you

I need to create a video and article showing what folks get. This is a question that actually comes up quite a bit, and I think more folks would be willing to subscribe if they knew exactly what was included with the gpx files!

I agree. It would be helpful to have a clear understanding what is included in those GPX files. As someone new to overlanding and not having used a GPX file, it's not clear what the benefit is from the plans & pricing page. From the descriptive bulletpoint it sounds like it's just a digital map.

Hey everyone, I'm Joe. Based out of North County San Diego and have been Offroading/Overlanding since 2008 or so. Started with a Grand Cherokee WK. Ordered a 2014 JKUR and have had it since then.

Have been out to most So Cal desert areas....Mojave Preserve, El Paso Mountains, Anza, Bradshaw area, Death Valley. Have also done a few solo trips to various locations in Utah and Arizona.

My food of choice on the trail is cheese, beef sticks, 7/11 taquitos lightly reheated in my 100 year cast iron skillet, and fresh cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Glad to be here.

Hello @OTG Ben , We've been back and forth with the possibility of getting away this labor day as my fiance accepted a new position at work. It's looking like we will be able to make it after all. I just subscribed and am excited to get this trip under way
