OTG Crew will be arriving Wednesday evening to secure our campsites (look for the big, blue Ram w/ camper!).
We may end up setting up specific areas for families with kids...
The link for the GPX file has been added to the original post. Anyone else interested in camping at Big Lagoon county park in Humboldt County on Tuesday night? I'm hoping to head north from Marin between 1-2 pm on Tuesday.
For whatever reason, Garmin devices will occassionally have issues loading GPX files. It's come to our attention that Garmin is no longer updating their Basecamp software, so new GPX extensions and other related updates may not play well with Garmin. But, there's a pretty easy workaround if...
@John Casson We always use GMRS on our trail runs given the ease of accessibility for folks and how common they are. I'll have an extra handheld unit with me as well since those CBs won't help out much if you want to communicate with the group ;)
For our final night, I'm thinking we play it by ear. Jughandle Creek Farm had a really nice group camp, but unfortunately it's booked. I've got a number of spots in/around the Mendocino Fort Bragg that I'll be adding to the GPX file. Just bring extra cash, as we may end up at a developed...
Hey folks, we're just a couple of weeks away from this event! If you can, please bring firewood and a chainsaw. I will be bringing both, but always good to have extra firepower (or firewood) in these situations. I plan on staying at Big Lagoon County Park campground on Tuesday night, and...

I'll have my pup with me. As long as it's not super warm, she's pretty good about hanging out in the truck. She may not like it, but she tolerates it :geek:
By the way, if anyone is looking to get out a few days early, I'll be hitting Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument Monday-Wednesday.
I'm going to pick this up when I get back from the desert in a couple of weeks. Currently, it's not possilble to book sites at MacKerricher due to some water issues that are getting worked on, but first come first serve is still possible. I'll see where things sit (are online reservations back...
